Haworth, Bronte Country & Forest Of Trawden

Laneshaw Bridge, Wycoller and Trawden
The walk is best started from Laneshaw Bridge as there are better views of Pendle Hill from this direction. The village is served by the Burnley and Pendle No. 25 bus between Keighley and Burnley.
Starting the walk in Laneshaw Bridge the path leads to the hamlet of Wycoller which was once home to a small community of handloom weavers. Wycoller Hall is said to have been the inspiration for Charlotte Bronte's Ferndean Manor in her book "Jane Eyre". Also at Wycoller is the Aisled Barn which serves as a visitors centre, and there is a cafe and shop in the village
The walk climbs the moor to meet the Pennine Bridleway, and the bulk of Boulsworth Hill is on your left. The path eventually descends to Trawden Village and emerges alongside Trawden Brook opposite the community centre and bus stop.
