Reservoir Trails Walk 8 - Castleshaw Valley Reservoirs

This is the last of a series of walks exploring the landscape of the South Pennines through its reservoir heritage.  Walk 8 in the Castleshaw Valley is steeped in history with the ruins of a Roman fort and evidence of iron smelting from the Middle Ages as well as Victorian features still in use on the reservoirs.  For more information and a downloadable leaflet about this series of walks please see the Watershed Landscape website.
