Littleborough & Hollingworth Lake

Pennine Way Marsden
The Pennine Way was the first National Trail developed in England, and snakes over the South Pennines on its way north to Colne.  The approach to Marsden from the south passes over Holme Moss and above Butterly Reservoir, remaining on the top ridges towards Standedge where the views from the Stanza Stone reach to the horizon.  After the walk why not visit the Riverhead Brewery Tap for some locally brewed beer and food.
