Littleborough & Hollingworth Lake

Pennine Way Littleborough

The Pennine Way was the first National Trail developed in England, and snakes over the South Pennines on its way north to Colne.  From Standedge at Marsden the walk remains on the high ground, crossing on a specially constructed footbridge way above the M62 motorway as you head towards the White House pub at Blackstone Edge.  Littleborough is close at hand with train and bus connections, shops, pubs and places to stay.  There is another Stanza Stone to visit, and the reservoir trails to explore from here.
